Day 1
Welcome to Slovenia! You will be met at Ljubljana airport and transferred to your hotel in Bled. The day is at leisure until a welcome dinner in Bled Castle restaurant perched on the cliff overlooking the lake. (D)
Day 2
Bled Lake, Slovenia - Breakfast at the hotel A sightseeing tour of Bled features the charming town with the lake shore, and Pletna boat ride to Bled island to visit St.Mary church built on the remnants of previous churches. After your tour, travel to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Here, view the Central open-air Market, Baroque Town Hall, Robba’s Fountain, the Three Bridges and the Parliament. Return to Bled in the evening. (B)
Day 3
Lake Bled, Postojna Cave and Portorož, Slovenia - Breakfast at the hotel. Leave Bled and drive south to Postojna, home to the second largest caves in the world. Tour this fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train and on foot. Then, continue to Lipica where world famous Lipizzaner horses originate. Tour the stud farm and attend the performance of the white stallions. Finish your day at the Adriatic coast of Slovenia and its resort town of Portorož. (B)
Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning is at leisure in this resort town and in the afternoon join your fellow travelers in the tour of Slovenian Istria. Sea the salt beds in Secovlje, the original Istrian house and admire the old frescoes in the fortress church in Hrastovlje. Return to Portoroz. Overnight at the hotel. (B)
Day 5
Portoroz, Slovenia and Venice, Italy - Breakfast at the hotel. Leave Portorož and after a short ride cross the border to Italy. Our first stop will be in Trieste to see the remnants of its former glory when it was the most important port town of Austio- Hungarian empire. Then it is off to the city of dreams, Venice. Overnight at the hotel. (B)
Day 6
Venice, Italy - Breakfast at the hotel. The day begins with a walking tour of Venice featuring the major highlights: St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Bell Tower and the Bridge of Sighs. The tour ends with a visit to a glass blowing factory where you may see the demonstration of a traditional Venetian glass blowing. Balance of the day is at leisure. Enjoy Venice at your own pace, shop or join an optional gondola ride. In the evening attend farewell dinner in one of the Venice local restaurants. (B, D)
Day 7
Venice, Italy - Breakfast at the hotel. Your tour comes to the end with the transfer to Venice International airport. (B)
