Private Car an Van Tour Arrangments

Atlas Express, Slovenia’s Award-Winning DMC, will partner with you and your team to plan the perfect private excursions for even the most demanding of guests.  We provide exceptional guides and the highest standard of licensed, luxury transport services. Itineraries can be designed well in advance, or pier-side with suggestions from our guides based on your guests’ sense of adventure. Your guests are our priority.

Departing the pier, our first destination is the Slovenian city of Lipica, home to the largest Lipizzan stud farm in the world. Your guide will explain the exceptional Lipizzan lineage and renowned today world-wide for their exclusive participation in the world-famous Spanish Riding School.

Atlas Express will arrange a privately-guided tour of the estate during which your guests will have the chance to meet the horses, take a carriage ride, observe the morning training session and thrill to a dressage performance. For guests who are advanced equestrians, a chance to saddle up and ride one of these magnificent horses is a one in a lifetime possibility offered only through Atlas Express. Departing Lipica we head west to the beautiful seaside village of Piran.  Located on a peninsula jutting into the Adriatic, Piran is considered to be one of the most authentic and most photogenic towns on the Adriatic coast.

Our visit starts in Tartini Squire, dedicated to the grand violin virtuoso and composer Giuseppe Tartini, born in Piran.  Here our guide will point out the Venetian’s outstanding architectural influence and explain the history of Piran, a town “born from salt”.   Afterwards we encourage our guests to wander the narrow cobblestone streets and enjoy a seaside lunch.

No visit to Slovenia is complete without tasting the wine for which the area is so well known.

Before returning to the ship, we will visit Koper’s “Wine Fountain”. A commercial center developed by Slovenia’s Bureau of Tourism, offering the chance to taste the wines of Karst while overlooking the panoramic views of the Slovenian countryside. The “Fountain” was built on a high plateau with a wonderful view of the Adriatic Sea and Alpine peaks, making the visit even more memorable. On arrival, we receive a special wine glass (ours to take home) and tokens which will allow us to taste local wines directly from the “Fountain’s” tap. Your guide will offer suggestions based on your particular tastes or we can try one or two or more of each.  Red refoscco and white malvasia –  all there for you to tap into.
