Situated in the heart of Eastern Europe against the backdrop of the Julian Alps, Slovenia is a country that offers unlimited opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. During this holiday, we will stay 4 nights at Ribčev laz at lakeside of Lake Bohinj and 3 nights in the alpine town/resort of Kranjska Gora. With the help of an licensed walking guide, we’ll explore the highlights of the surrounding areas. From taking in the spectacular views of Mount Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia, to hiking through the stunning Vintgar Gorge, there is plenty to see and discover in this stunning landscape. This trip will include a choice of moderate or challenging routes on each walking day and is ideal for moderately experienced or experienced walkers. The average daily walking distance on moderate walks is between 10km – 13km and the average daily walking distance on challenging walks is between 11km – 20km.

Day 1
Travel to Slovenia. Fly to Ljubljana APT (Slovenia) or one of regional nearby airports such as Venice (Italy) or Zagreb (Croatia), transfer to Lake Bohinj. On arrival you will be met by our representative and will travel by coach Slovenia towards your hotel in Lake Bohinj. Accommodation in a 4* hotel at lake Bohinj for 4 nights. Free time. Dinner and overnight. (D)
Day 2
Breakfast, Orientation meeting & walking day. Orientation meeting. This morning you will have an orientation meeting with your local walking guide. On each walking day throughout your holiday there will be a choice of either a moderate or a challenging walking route. During the orientation meeting your local expert walking guides will discuss the kind of distance and terrain you can expect for both walking options.
Moderate route: The moderate walking route will take in Uskovnica, an Alpine pasture on the Pokljuka plain, Voje Valley and Mostnica gorge. Technical Characteristic: (Distance: 10km, Duration: 6 hours, Incline: 560m).
Challeging Route: Triglav Lakes Valley, a rocky hanging valley in the Julian Alps, below the sheer sides of Mount Tičarica and Mount Zelnarica. The valley is also often referred to as the Seven Lakes Valley, despite having ten, and not seven, lakes in the valley! Located at 1500 above sea level, Triglav Lakes Valley is surrounded by stunning landscapes. Technical Characteristic: (Distance: 20km, Duration: 9 hours, Incline: 700m)

Day 3
Breakfast, Walking Day
Moderate route: The moderate walking route will begin in Vintgar Gorge, a 1.6km gorge that was carved by the Radovna River. Afterwards walk up to Hom hill, before proceeding to Ojstrica and Osojnica peaks from which you will have beautiful views of Lake Bled and the surrounding mountains. Technical Characteristic: (Distance: 13km, Duration: 5 hours, Incline: 300m)
The challenging route will take you to Mt Visevnik, one of Slovenia's most visited peaks. Technical Characteristic: (Distance: 12km, Duration: 5 hours, Incline: 700m)

Day 4
Breakfast, Day at Leisure Today you will have a full day at leisure. You may chose to rest and recuperate at your hotel or enjoy some independent exploration in the Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj areas. Breakfast and Dinner will be included today at your hotel in Lake Bohinij. (B, D)
Day 5
Breakfast, Walking Day
This morning it will be relocated from Lake Bohinj as you transfer by coach to Kranjska Gora, an alpine town nestled in the Sava Dolinka Valley of northwest Slovenia. Kranjska Gora enjoys an enviable location near the mountains and glacial lakes of Triglav National Park. During the winter months, Kranjska Gora is Slovenia's largest ski resort but is also an ideal place for hiking with endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts during the summer months. (Coach transportation of approximate duration 1 hour and 15 minutes). You will embark on your walking day en route from Lake Bohinj to Lake Bled, checking in to your hotel in the evening. The moderate route will take you to the Martuljek waterfalls. Technical Characteristic: (Distance: 10km , Duration: 5 hours, Incline: 400m)
Challenging route: will take you to the summit of Golica. Technical Characteristic: (Distance: 12km, Duration: 7 hours, Incline: 900m)

Day 6
Breakfast, Walking Day
Moderate route: The moderate route will follow the Triglavska Bistrica trail. Begin your day in the Vrata valley in the heart of the Julian Alps towards the base of the northern wall of Slovenia's highest peak, Triglav. You will stop along the way at the Peričnik. Technical Characteristics:(Distance: 10km, Duration: 4 hours, Incline: 270m).
Today's challenging route will take you to Luknja. Begin walking in the Vrata valley, walking along the Triglavska Bistrica trail before starting to slowly climb above the forest to see the surrounding mountains rising above the valley of Zadnjica. Technical Characteristics: (Distance: 10km, Duration: 6 hours, Incline: 800m). Dinner and overnight in Kranjska Gora. (B, Packed Lunch Box, D)
Day 7
Breakfast, Walking Day Moderate route: The moderate route will take you to Slemenova Spica, a wonderful grassy viewpoint in the Julian Alps. The coach will take you to Vrsic mountain pass which is 1611m above sea level and from here you will begin walking across the plateau which is surrounded by mountains. You will have the chance to see some of the most beautiful Slovenian peaks along the way , including Mt. Jalovec and Mt. Mangart. Technical Characteristics:(Distance: 10km, Duration: 5 hours, Incline: 300m). Today's challenging route will take you to Zavetisce pod Spickom, a shelter set under the Spica peak in the Trenta Valley. The coach will take you to Vrsic mountain pass which is 1611m above sea level and from here you will begin walking through shubbery pines and up slopes of broken rock fragments towards Zavetisce pod Spickom. Technical Characteristics: (Distance: 18km, Duration: 7 hours, Incline: 800m). Dinner and overnight in Kranjska Gora. (B, Packed Lunch Box, D)
Day 8
Breakfast, Departure: This morning you will say goodbye to Slovenia and be transferred to Airport. (B)
