Atlas Express is the oldest family business Travel Agency, Shore Excursion Agent and the DMC Company in Slovenia. The beginnings date back to the Slovenian independence, to the year 1993. Founded by Mr. Janez Macek, it has made its way through the last 30 years and concentrated its purpose for almost three decades.
A new milestone was reached when Atlas Express became the first Travel Company in Slovenia to be awarded the status of certified partner of Travelife. The goal in creating new experiences is to offer a more sustainable experience. During the creative process, the involvement and support of local stakeholders is the greatest achievement.
The organization of tailor-made events for corporate clients provides an opportunity to bring all aspects of sustainability into the core of the organization. Over the past three years, Atlas Express has been recognized as the world’s best Azamazing event for two consecutive years because of its smooth organization, customer satisfaction and support of the local supply chain.
Another aspect of the offer is the day trips for the cruise lines. A large selection of tours is added to the portfolio every year. The selection of day tours from the cruise ports of Koper and Piran includes tours for small groups, personalized experiences with authentic and innovative approaches. The support of Slovenian Tourist Board’s strategy to build a green and responsible tourism is very present in the organization of new travel programs. The leading program, which has been a success with visitors, is the shore excursion to the authentic Istrian village of Padna, where the local community welcomes guests with its seasonal products and warm Slovenian hospitality.
The goal of incorporating the sustainable option into the new experience is of the highest priority in the future development of hospitality products in Slovenia.
