Atlas Express continues its 23 year-long commitment to The Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth. SAFY, a non-profit organisation founded in 1953, participates in the fields of social care, education, and advocacy for children, the representation of their interests and protection of their rights. As part of their company’s blueprint, Atlas Express incorporates the sustainability of SAFY in their day-to-day operations and associations with all clients.
A gathering in Portoroz of international executives was arranged recently by Atlas Express. The group’s head office arranged a sponsored “treasure hunt” for the executives, who donated the prize money to SAFY.
The program included an active and interactive treasure hunt activity around Piran. The town itself is one of the oldest cities in Slovenia and therefore is perfect for an active exploration of its own treasure. Organised with professional team building creators, the activity helps to unlock the hidden heritage of the town with creativity and fun.
With the help of a professional local DMC in Portoroz and Piran all the details of the day were taken care of, such as: transportation, guided visit, team buidling activity and the farewell dinner. Enjoying a sunset dinner on the seaside of Piran is one of the picture perfect moments of visiting the Slovenian Coast.
This generous donation will offer aid to 10 children from families not able to afford such an expense, for a 5 day summer holiday by the sea. Some of the children will be able to see and feel the sea for the first time ever. The program ‘A Wink to the Sun’ takes for summer holidays yearly ten thousand children from around Slovenia, from which three thousand have the summer holiday sponsored.
SAFY’s vision is to strengthen the voice of children and young people, and to contribute to the development of a supportive public opinion towards children, young people, and families. the Association is active for the last 69 years, the program ‘A Wink to the Sun’ is operating for 23 years.
The donation concept was requested by the client, but with help of local the community was realised into a perfect outcome.
